Now, from the comfort of anywhere you like, your licence renewal is just a few clicks from complete. There’s no need to wait on the renewal notification (which sometimes doesn’t arrive) or queue in long lines. This is just one less chore you have to worry about; one less ‘to do’ to take care of.

You have a choice to pay either via a monthly debit order or an annual EFT. Should you choose the annual EFT route then we will send you a reminder 45 days prior to your renewal. There are no upfront fees with the EFT option, as we only charge our service fee at the time of renewing your licence. The fees we charge are for the actual issuing and delivery of your disc and not for the reminder. Monthly debit orders remain the most convenient payment method, as all you need to do is set up a debit order and then sit back and relax knowing your licence is taken care of.

Here’s what you need to get started….
1. In which Provinces does EasyRenew operate?
EasyRenew is currently operational in KwaZulu-Natal & Gauteng
2. What FICA documents do I need?
Proof of identity – a certified copy of your green barcoded South African identity document or the new smart identity card.
Proof of address – Acceptable proof of Address (Bank Statement, Utility Account, Clothing or Furniture Statement, Cell Phone/Telkom Statement or a Medical Aid Statement)
IMPORTANT NOTE: The above documents must be dated within 3 months of the renewal date of the vehicle
Drivers’ Licence – In order to download your annual renewal notice we require either a copy of the front of your drivers’ licence or the actual drivers’ licence number
3. What document formats are accepted?
Accepted file types include .PDF .PNG .JPEG .TIFF and .BMP.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When loading a .PDF file, please ensure you have chosen All Files.
4. How do I fund the cost of the renewal?
You have a choice to pay either via a monthly debit order or an annual EFT (Direct Deposit).
5. Why is the cost of the licence different for everyone?
Licence fees vary from province to province, and are based on the weight of the vehicle.
6. What happens when I sell my vehicle before the renewal date?
Should you remain a member of EasyRenew i.e. your profile is active, then all accumulated value will remain in your profile. These funds will either be used to subsidise the cost of the remaining vehicles or fund your new vehicle when it’s added.
7. May I have multiple profiles and vehicles with a single login?
Yes, you may! You may create a owner profile for you, your spouse, children and family members and their vehicles under one login.
8. What will this cost?
Debit Order* – Banking Fee: R8.50 per debit order per month. Renewal Service Fee: R220.00 per vehicle per annum. Licence Renewal Cost: Subject to vehicle weight and province in which the vehicle is registered
*In order to calculate the monthly amount we add the vehicle cost and our fee together and then divide by the number of months to expiry of the licence.
EFT – Renewal Service Fee: R250.00 per vehicle per annum, payable on vehicle renewal. Licence Renewal Cost: Subject to vehicle weight and province in which the vehicle is registered
9. How will the licence disc be delivered?
Once we receive the licence disc, then EasyRenew will courier your disc to your nominated delivery address.
10. What is the procedure should the above requirements be absent?
We will make every effort to contact you (as the main member) and resolve any issues that are delaying the renewal. EasyRenew is indemnified against any liability should these requirements not be forthcoming and a penalty is levied by RTMC.
11. What if my vehicle licence expires in 4 months time?
You will need to visit our website www.easyrenew.co.za and create a unique login. You will then need to register a owner profile and add the vehicle details. We will send you an email containing the amount due approximately 40 days before the expiry date
12. What if my vehicle licence has already expired?
You will need to visit our website www.easyrenew.co.za and create a unique login. You will then need to register a owner profile and add the vehicle details. We will then send you an email containing the amount due as well as the relevant bank account for the funds to be deposited into.
